Thank you, You made my day. I never attended Moores Creek, Ray Hillard (2nd row, first picture) was my uncle. He passed a way a few years ago, but was very special. I do a lot of geology and photo restoration for our family, and love bringing the photos back alive, and hearing the stories about people. Is Johnson a maiden name, and did she attend EKU for her teacher training?

YES YES YES...OMG LOL she was Ella Johnson and she furthered her education at Eku but she went to Sue Bennett in London. I have her diploma from Eku and her high school diploma she started teaching when she was 15 she lied and said she was 16 so she could teach.I am so sorry about your uncle. Grannies last sister pasted away last month she was 100 years old. thank you so much I hope someday to meet you I work at the liberty on main street in london ky. Maybe someday you will pop in and I can give you a big hug to say thanks from the bottom of my heart. Granny was also the principle at moores creek as well. i would love to see that year book if possible someday. I plan on coming back to Jackson County in September for the Davis reunion. I live in northern Virginia, and work about a block from the white house. I will send yo a copy of the Yearbook tomorrow.

we have had some challenges in business. Keep praying for the out pouring. I know I need God's favor - can't do it on my own.... never could. Darlene wouldn't want me to say anything, she has been feeling bad at times.

Well, I understand exactly. I've been there. All I can say is that God provides, and although I cannot explain why, or how, he does.

He is our hope!

Yes, and when we try to manage it ourselves, we only mess it up. When we rush it, more problems. God knows the moment you truly turn it over to him. We tend to worry and try to hold on to the problem even after we say it is in his hands. But when you truely give it to him, you will feel the weight shed from your shoulders. I had to get to the point that I was willing to say Lord if it is your will, take all the stuff, and send me where you want me to be (and I truely ment it). That was when the stuff ment less than doing his will.

Stuff isn't so important! Not knowing where you will live in the future can be a little stressful - more concerned for my wife. We have been through many challenges and God has made a way.

In fact, God already has a plan!

That's the stuff I was talking about. Not knowing where or how is scarey. Imagine you had $8,500.00 in monthly expenses, and having been told that they no longer need your services. I know the stress. Even now, I am not sure how long the job will last, since the owner is under investigation by the FBI, because they think he gave too much money to election campains. I have to let God handle it, and I will just depend on him.

What about Jackson County?

I would leave tonight and take the job, but that woman God gave me, wants to follow a plan, and pay off everything so we can use our retirement money to live off when we get there. That way, if it don't work out, we aren't left high and dry. I guess God gives us good sense in form we are more likely to listen to and responde accordingly. LOL

It is a basic task, Just needs sanding and a nice clear coat. Don't use the chemicals, it is made of Ceder Wood and was not intended to be completely sealed, the aroma is what makes it a great storage conatiner. I have made a bunch of these, and my Father made many of them too. I'd be happy to restore it for you. And when I need to do my resume again, You could help me with it. I like to use the barter system. Let me know if you want me to take a look and maybe finish it.

I'm sorry, I've been scatter brained for the last month or two. It has been one thing after another, and I am not getting everything done. Sure. I was wondering what happened to you. Anytime you want to drop it by I can knock it out rather quickly (depends on the amount of data and the transfer speed. Usually no more than an hour or two, and that is for a large amount if files. I am available later today an tomorrow afternoon/evening.

I can do tomorrow night I think. Do I just need to bring the two lap tops and that's it? Also, you don't have to put a rush on it, I can come by Mon or Tues to pick it up. Lastly, what's your address?

Hey Tony, what's the status of the laptop?

I am still in process, the old machine required extreme measures to get to the hard drive. The only way to safely transfer the data is to scan the drive and remove the old viruses prior to transfering the data. The scan is still running and we are in the triple digits of viruses, 56% scanned, and still scanning (second scan). As soon as the drive has finished I can move them over. I assumed it was going to be easy, because Dell normally has a easy access drive. This was one of their unusal machines. Anyway, I hope to have it done by tomorrow.

Holy crap...I had no idea the old Dell had that many issues...sorry about that.

No problem... I just finished scanning and cleaning. I am re-scanning your new one, and installing a Professional level Antivirus. It is in progress right now. It may be done by this evening. I'll let you know soon.

Chicken and Dumplings

Cook chicken until tender
remove from pot and keep enough broth for dumplings About 3 quarts.
Mix:
2 cups plain flour
1 tsp salt
and enough milk to make think dough

Roll out on floured board until really thin and cut into squares with pizza cutter~
drop into boiling broth. Mix one can cream of chicken soup and 1 can of water...add to dumplings. Add deboned chicken last. Delicious

How can I put music on my computer to Windows Media Player?

There are several ways. One is to copy files from other people using a thumb drive to transfer them. Another way would be to connect an external CD drive and place copy CD's (the call it RIP in the Media player. You can also use another PC with a drive to RIP the CD and then copy them to a thumb drive to transfer them to your laptop.

I suppose after being through a war, he would do anything to keep the peace. He seemed to be a very sweet, gentle person. I have a relationship with my sisters now, and my bio dad's, sister, Della Rose York Jackson. Aunt Della Rose is in her eighties. I found out my bio dad had passed away by reading an obituary on the computer that I just happened to run across a couple or years after the fact. He passed away in, I believe, 2002, and Dolly died in 2008. That's when my sisters started to search for me, but I had divorced and remarried by then, and they didn't know my married name.....so it was hard for them to find me.

Those facts/dates is consistent with what I have so far. I found a Birth record with your mother listed and having a baby 16 Sep . I assume that is your birthday. Did she have a son Kenneth later?

Yes, that's all correct. I also have a sister, Glenda Hacker McWhorter, and a brother, Gary Anthony Hacker. He's a Tony, too.

Are you going to be around this weekend? I am planning to visit my sister and some family in Jackson County. We will be running around the area on Saturday and part of Sunday (probably after church).

I believe so. The only thing I have planned so far, is tomorrow evening. I'm meeting a friend and her husband for a short visit who are traveling from Petersburg, VA. It would be nice to meet you and your family.

My sister Lowana is going to try and line up a couple of our elderly family members and see if we can copy some of their old photos. I am bringing my computer and a High speed scanner, and I will be trying to scan as many photos as possible. My scanner will scan 45 peices a minute at High resolution. I will only be around on Saturday and Sunday. So if it it is convenient, I would love to meet you. I hope to meet a few other people that have become friends on facebook but that I never met. LOL

If you were at Wesley and Della's home, going toward Moores Creek Church, turn left at the second possible turn onto Buffalo Road (before you get to the church). After about a mile or so on Buffalo, you veer off to the left on a dusty graveled lane....the B. Hacker Rd. Our home is near the top of the hill in a wooded area at the end of this graveled lane. It's no more than 2 or 3 miles from Wesley's home. The little roads and lanes have sign posts with the names posted on them. Hopefully, we can get to meet in person.

Lowana was so impressed by your house. She talked about it for the rest of the time I was there. She was most impressed by how well it was decorated. She has friends that have very nice homes, but have so much stuff that they are cluttered. I liked it as well. C.J. loved it, and Jackson County. She wants to move back there now.

I'm glad Lowanna enjoyed it. She is such a sweet lady. I decorated our home myself with a few new things and the stuff I had accumulated over the years, like the antiques that my husband inherited. Tell her she can bring Beverly and come back to see me sometime....maybe at Christmas. Everyone loves it at Christmas. To me it is just a house that has to be cleaned.

We all have too much stuff. It's easy to get clutter, and I still have the southeastern Kentucky mentality. We keep our things, and if they wear out, we have them repaired, reupholstered, painted, or whatever it takes.....or store them away somewhere, just in case we or someone else in the family might want or need them sometime.

I can see Kentucky in CJ's future, because her dad is definitely longing to come back to these old hills! I wish I could have taken you all trail riding on our old golf cart. She would have loved that!

My brother is mowing the hay now, and everything is starting to look much neater....but it is still so hot and dry.

No doubt, she was named for your grandmother, Bessie Steele Davis. Her married name was Lovins, and she never had any children. I believe she lived in Hamilton, Ohio.

I have some photos that has her name on the back, but I believe it was so that she would receive a copy.

Hey Tony, I had one of those days myself. I replaced a "Hot Swapeable" UPS Battery today and dropped the AS400 like a ton of bricks. So much for ASS U MEing it would be OK to do this during normal working hours. I hope you get home to the family soon.

It was worse while it was hurting, once the decision to place the stent, it goes quickly. Not much pain, but laying in tne same position for 8 hours afterword was the worst.

Berea is the central hub for ultra liberals in Kentucky. I got invited to write for the local newspaper about a year ago or less. I was ask to do a conservative article to offset the blatant liberal paper. They never knew I would open ip with both barrels. I gained a base of supporters but a huge base of haters. I think she'd be interested to know your nursing background, and of course your experience is compelling because it is direct experience in a hospital doing a similar job. Like I said, she is smart...with an IT background so she wants someone who is a straight shooter, admits mistakes, takes the bull by the horns and moves things forward. It's not a job where you can sit back and keep things from breaking, she really wants proactive measures taken and plans in place for emergencies, etc... I think you'll do great and you have great qualifications.

I'm praying for you, whether it's right or not - I just hope you know quickly which way it will go. These things can get stressful when you're waiting weeks at a time wondering what's up. They haven't posted the job yet that I know of, so it will take a while.

I guess I was avoiding the issue with Johnathan. But listen, he is in God's hands. I beg God many times a day to change his mind. I'm not sure what you thought I thought, but please know I do not think he is a female. I do believe he believes it. (Even so he's not very convincing).

I am very proud of Amelia both her choice in husband and her college work, not to mention all her other achievements. I also love and am very proud of Johnathan. He is and always will be my son (no matter what he thinks). I am willing to spend all the time together he wants, as father son. That said, I cannot spend time with him as a daughter. I can't face him as a girl, I would prefer not to see it, and remember him as a boy. I know there those that may not understand, but I don't know how to deal with it. It may be my problem, and I OK with that. I will tell you I became suicidal, and frustrated with CJ, because I could not act on it. I had to be there because she was so young.

Nothing is simple. There are millions of ways to deal with life, who knows if we chose rightly. For me, the older I get the more I just want to be comfortable and get along. (A perfect chickenshit). I'm not sure what you mean by frustrations with CJ. Of all of us, she seems to be the most wonderful. (Her siblings adored her utterly and can say nothing but the most wondeful things about her). Please be kind to yourself because things always work out. We go to sleep in God's hands and we wake up there too. There is NOTHING that can seperate us from His love and grace.

PS. I never spend any time with him as a daughter. That is what is so confusing. For me there is a real disconnect between what he says he is and how just JOHNATHAN he acts. We should talk some time when you feel open and receptive, because your input is real important. At least I think this is so. When you talk, just treat him like him. I know he is starving for your kindness and attention. Even if he uses his weirdness to attempt to avoid us. I don't judge you, because I've walked in your shoes trying to come to terms with this. And if you saw me, you'd know this has hurt me more than all the sorrow I've ever felt put together in my whole life. All I can think is "Not my Johnathan, dear God, not him"! He is the most tender part of my heart. I'm really pathetic and I almost never cry. but this subject tears my heart apart and I've stayed up crying (wailing) all night. We must trust God now. It was not CJ's behavior that was the problem. It just meant I could not take the easy way out because I had to be here for her. I'm past that now, but for weeks I could not get it out of my head, and I couldn't allow myself to think about it.

It is hard to explain, and I really haven't been able to bring myself to discuss it with anyone. Just dumping some emotions on you, sorry but it is not something I would discuss with Cindy.

I figured it out after i read your note again. You couldn't hurt CJ, and I'm glad you had someone to protect if you couldn't feel like living for yourself. Anyway, I haven't told Corbitt this time at all. At one time I thought I'd rather leave, than have Johnathan the brunt of jokes by Corbitt's badly behaved family. (They are all jealous of Johnathan). I hope you know you can talk to me. I'm on your side. When Johnathan told me how you felt, I remember saying to myself, YES I FEEL THAT WAY TOO! But, I live close by and could not risk alienating him. There is a high risk of suicide and violence against people who identify themselves this way. I'm scared too Tony. But, I have to tell you I just roll it over on the Christ within and I go free to be me. Nothing I do can change this hell in him. I am walking in faith. Please pray for him as the son you love so much.

A friend told me she CURED her migraines with FEVERFEW an herb you can get at herb shops. There is some science to it, I clipped this passage to explain. I remembered how you suffered with them...

Migraines are still a mystery to the medical and holistic community. There have been many studies done on the herb Feverfew. Over aggregating of platelets in the blood appear just before a migraine forcing a release of serotonin. Serotonin causes the blood vessel to dilate. Feverfew, or more correctly the parthenolide contained in it, will stop over-aggregating keeping the blood vessel normal resulting in less painful, less frequent or cessation of migraines.

Thanks, but Ia few years ago I realized that my headaches were caused by dehydration. I never drank much water, mostly soda or some other sweet drinks. After I gave up the soda, and began to drink water, I noticed my headaches went away. I still get an occasiona sinus headache, and I just increase my water intake, and they go away. It makes sense now that everytime they got bad enought to go to the emergency room, they would start an IV, and after a little while, the headache went away.

Trust me, we need more water, and less soda.

I've been making the transition from soda (pop) to Le Croix water. I lost 10 lbs in 5 weeks, no other changes. The cans of LeCroix water is so much cheaper too. Glad to learn your headache issue was solved. Godspeed with this next chapter in your life.

What version of Office are you using?

On all versions there is a setting you change once you insert the sound. once you have the icon select the little speaker, and then (depending on the version) go to the sound tool or properties, and select play across slides. I can be more specific once I know what version you are using.

I have been working for years on our family tree. And If you would be willing, I would love to get your family's information. Here is a copy of your family tree back to England. The First person is John Davis who was born in Wales.

She had the biggest smile, and her eyes would light up when she smiled. As a little boy, I just knew she loved me. LOL, She also had a collie just like Lassie. LOL
She was actually my Great Aunt, but Dad and Mom always called her Aunt Ellen.

I love hearing about her because I was too young to really remember her but I think we would have gotten along. I don't mind at all referencing her as the reason I liked the name Morgan. Thank you again!

Fred is very excited about all the photos you have posted about the Davis family. We have a letter from Uncle Willie in 1976 that talks about Ransom Davis, father of W. P. Davis, serving under Frances Marion, the Swamp Fox, in the Revolutionary War. We would certainly be interested in seeing whatever records you have located. Fred and I are just beginning to put together all the notes we have taken over the years. We are working on the Davis family, the Gaines family, my mother's Oliver family, and my dad's family, the Battistellos. We will be happy to share whatever we have once we have some order to it.

She said that she had not doubt that she would find records about them but was shocked to find the house they lived in still standing. But that is England. I know you've always done your best. You do what you can, because that's all you can do. If you're doing everything right that you possibly can, you can't ever feel bad about anything that comes of it. I gave mom some advice similar to that lately, that she found helpful.

Feels kind of awkward for a kid to give parents advice, but in this case, I think it's always good for you to know that I love you and that even if I acted out growing up, I know you did what you could and that was a lot more than many kids get.

I don't want you to ever forget that-- you might not have done like some of the more spoiling parents growing up buying me new super-expensive faddish jackets every winter, or a brand-new car for my birthday (like this one girl at my high school for whom wrecking a brand-new Mustang was an inconvenience), but in the end what I learned from growing up with you, mom and Cindy was more valuable than anything you could've bought me in a store.

And you should know that the same advice you gave me the day I moved out to come to Georgia (about going to college and sticking getting a degree, ANY degree), I've passed on to another person who has since improved his own life-- your words and experience keep going, and continue to bless others.

And I know you'll be blessed as well for your work. Whatever problems weigh on you right now, you're going to come out stronger and better and more blessed for it than you know. After bad luck comes good luck, and after good luck comes even more good luck. I remember when you left Force 3, you had a hard time, but then you got a better job closer to home that let you become a network expert whose name comes up on google searches from around the world.

After I left the burger-flipping job in DC, I got a better (relatively) job working security, after that I managed the finances to get into college and now I'm a recognized and respected scholar who presents papers in the field of Middle East Policy. God's got a plan, and it's always better than we think possible.

You're raising a great kid in CJ, who I'm still constantly amazed by, just as much in the depth of her kindness and strength of her heart as I am in her intellect and spirituality. Take it from someone concentrating in Juvenile behavior, that's not something that comes from nature; that's great parenting-- in every way one can do the right thing to raise a good kid, you and Cindy are. Likewise, you've been a great help and comfort to family, as well as a wonderful friend to many. For many of my own friends, you're still the coolest dad ever, that all of them are jealous of me for having.

That's better than having an expensive Christmas in 1988.

I'm wanting to send CJ a book in the mail soon, would you be okay with that? It's going to be one of my college textbooks, on Geology. She says she loves the subject but that she's not been told much in school or in books that goes beyond "Look at the purty rocks!".

It's pretty in-depth information, but it's presented very readable (mostly because it's Freshman-level Geology, and the Freshmen coming up right now in Georgia are dumber than Woodbridge's worst middle school students). Very scientific, physics-type of perspective that explains Geology from the atom to the planet to the universe.

I'm asking because:
1) Wasn't sure how you'd feel about me sending you stuff.
2) Wasn't sure how you'd feel about me sending CJ stuff.
3) Not too sure how tight you guys are on the religious front regarding Creationism/Intelligent Design versus Big Bang/Evolution and such. I know you guys are trying to raise CJ in a strong religious education and such, and I respect you doing so (seriously, it's a big factor in keeping kids out of trouble and doing well in school and life). So, if you have concerns about how it presents those kinds of things, I understand and I can give more information about it so you can decide if it's okay.

Anyways, I love you and look forward to hearing from you. I'd love to supply CJ with books and all kinds of learning stuff when possible, but I also understand how things can be, and I respect your right to raise her without someone injecting into that.

I hope you don't think I would restrict you from sending things to your sister. There is only one area that I would rather you not discuss with her, (at least until she is older) and I believe you know the subject.
She admires and loves you, as do I and Cindy as well. I do not restrict scientific or educational materials. She will be exposed to all views. We watch discovery channel on the Big bang etc.

Ah, good. And no, I didn't think you would, but I didn't want to step on your toes about anything. Mostly because you guys have done such an amazing job with her, and I'm so amazingly proud of her (I show my friends the pictures you post of her, because I want everyone to see I'm related to someone so great).

She is my boss and she works in Corbin, KY. I have been around many different dentists in my career and there are very few of those whom I would allow to work on my mouth. She is one of them because she is great at what she does.

My dad was Troy E. Hillard, Jr. Jim's parents (Nicey and Tom) were my dad's grandparents and they raised him, so Jim actually seems more like an uncle than a great uncle to me.

So you are my 2nd cousin.roy E. Hillard, Jr.is my 1st cousin. His father "Uncle Troy" is my mother's brother. I played with Ronnie and Billy Ray when I was a boy. I've been praying for both of you. I know that our "Davis communication skills" combined with his job may be a challenge. We tend to keep things inside unitl the little things become larger than they are. I had to make a determined effort to communicate better. That (and God's help) is how Cindy have been able to last. I never knew John until the last year, but I feel like I have know him all my life. That is because we are so much alike.

what day? Chets going to Vietnam for a whole month my schedule is so messed up I actually work alllllllllll weekends..!!!:( so we need to plan something in advance but mike keeps changing my schedule around like a toy.

I am not sure. I plan on being back Sunday, but the weather and other factors may change my plans. I am not too sure about buying anything right now, since I am unemployed.

I'm looking at some options. I have a couple opportunities here, and one in Kentucky. I haven't really looked too much, since I just wanted to take a few days and relax. I am working on the house because the last few months, I have not been able to do much at home, and things are in need of repair. Thanks for saying such nice things. Continue the cranberry juice; he is probably in pain which will explain his paleness; give him some tylenol as well. You do need to get him to provide a urine specimen for a ua to rule out an infection; you do not want it to back flow to the kidney. The urgent care should be able to send the urine to the lab and follow on with a call if he needs antibiotics plus it will give you a piece of mind. Push fluids. Both stomache ache and urgency are your classic signs of uti.

Hi There! I do remember you, now that you explained...how nice to have you find me here!

I did not know you had become a physician. I spent 20 years in the army as a Nurse. Now I do I.T. for the local hospital. It is much better to work on computers, when they die, you just change parts, and they get well. I know that sounds bad, but is spent a couple years on an Onconology unit, and frequently became attached to my patients. It took more out of me than I had to spare. So I changed professions to something less demanding.
