Is that a Gold Schützenschnur? (I only got the bronze, but I treasure it).

I also remember when you out shot a whole Panzer division... whoot! They didn't like an American Medic doing that! LOL...

Looks like a scene from a move. I'm not sure which one.

I thought I recognized the Bundeswehr. I remember shooting their weapons and afterwards ate (in the field!) on white table cloths served by their PVTs with silverware and the whole shebang. Good times!

I didn't realize you were such a world traveler. How far is it from Moore's Creek to Yugoslavia? I bet it is farther than just the miles. I remember sitting at the top of the Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco where the Cokes were $3 twenty five years ago and thinking how far it was to that little mountain home my grandparents lived in at Wind Cave. Kind of a strange feeling.

I know exactly what you are saying. I often thought about the same thing over the years, as I was able to see the world (on a shoe string budget), because of the military service.

The album of our kids travelling the world with you is a family treasure. I asked why I didn't get to travel when we were there, but I just remembered that little incident with the Iranian Hostages. And, Major Bucheit, my commander's decision to break me with too much responsibility. <sigh> We definitely had very different experiences of Germany.
