Ruth, how do we connect with them?
July 26, 2012 at 8:13 am
Abigail Pennington Morgan was my great grandma. She was the daughter of William Robert and Nancy Caudill Pennington; granddaughter of Ephraim and Matilda Fields Pennington; great grandddaughter of Aaron and Ann Pennington.

July 26, 2012 at 9:56 am
Ruth, do you have access to my ancestry page. I have them mapped in my tree.
July 26, 2012 at 10:09 am

BJ, great grandma Telitha Jane Cook's sister Martha Luanna Cook married Minatree Lincoln Pennington, son of Levi and Rachel Combs Pennington; grandson of Abel III and Elizabeth Bolling Pennington. Elizabeth was the daughter of Jesse and Mary Pennington Bolling. Source: Martha Luanna's family. My grandpa Morgan claimed to be related to all the Penningtons. The names seem to go back to common ancestors???

I've never seen this photo before! Thanks!!!

Ruth..I was thinking Levi was a sister to Nancy Pennington McGee Arnold. But there may have been another Levi because they used the same names in different generations. I have a letter that one of them wrote while he was in the army to his wife....you may have it. If not, I will try to find and put on here. My line is Abel and Elizabeth Bolling Pennington down to Nancy who married the McGee. Then the McGee married the Baldwin.

Green Hill - A lot of the Davis generation is burried there. I put flowers on the grave every year as Uncle Sam and Aunt Lizzie has no one to do so. Don't you just love those unusual stones? Bill and I cleaned them up a few years ago as they had turned black on a lot of the stone.

Your dad must have been very gifted! If you haven't been already, you must take C.J. to Plymouth, MA. They have a replica of the Mayflower there, and you can actually get on board.
July 26, 2012 at 8:48 am
We'll have to put it on our to see list. We have family on the Hillard side that came from thr Plymouth colony back in the 1600's. We need to go follow some leads.
July 26, 2012 at 9:13 am
There's also a replica of the colony, as well, with "Pilgrims" who are in character. If you ask them something pertaining to our times, they look at you like you're weird. A tourist asked one of the young men if he had a girlfriend. His reply was, "I'm not sure I know what you're talking about, but I'm not courting anyone at the moment, if that's what you mean."
