I know aren't those glasses awful! :) I prefer the modern day slimmed down glasses. Why those big ones were ever popular is beyond me. As far as resemblance goes we have a picture of mom without her glasses that shows it very well. Pretty amazing.

I still wear those kind of glass frames from the 1980s because I'm too cheap to update mine. LOL

Cost I understand but wearing them to be "stylish" I don't. :) I assume they were considered stylish during the '80s because I seem to have trouble recalling a single picture taken during those years of someone with slimmer looking glasses. LOL

That is my Grandpa, He was the one that hand carved them. I have one also. In the photos a while back, there is a photo of him carving one.
