Thanks Lowana, I guessed Lester correctly - haven't seen a pic of Ernest since he was a baby ( Babe's son ?) . I am Bob's brother Charley Davis' youngest..

Fred:
So glad to really find out who you are. You need to request me to be a friend on facebook as I don’t know how to invite you to be my friend.
I think you called me one time in regard to some of the family history - a few years back.
I would hope you could plan a vacation next Sept. when we have a Davis reunion and come by for it. I had called Erma Dean this year as I always
do when we have our reunions but none of them were able to make it this time. I have few pictures of some of the reunions when some of the
older ones were able to make it. I just have to fine them and get them on face book.
My brother, Tony has traced our Davis generation back to the 1600’s or maybe even farther back.
I think your father was the last one of the family of 12 to 14 children. I have 12 listed on the generation list of John Wesley & Telitha Davis
children but Wesley Morgan told me there were a set of twins born and died at the same time - which would make a total of 14 children.
According to him one of those twins was named Charlie or Charles. I will see if Tony can find out for sure on Ancestry. Com as he is a member.
I find it quite interesting that you remember the name “Babe Parsley” He is buried in the Greenhill cemetery (the Davis family cemetery)
Ernest died in August 2006. My husband and I became quite close to Ernie and his wife Marie for several years before his passing. They had
no children as the two children they had died in infancy. They were quite lonely and we hope we had a part of making a few bright spots in
there lives.
Well as you see I am not short on words especially when it involves the family. Call me sometime if you would like when you have the
opportunity and we will catch up on more of old times. I really don’t remember you but I do remember going up to the store and visiting
with Erma Dean. She is a little older than me and I think I am older than you. I am 68 this past July. Phone # 606-864-6986.
I know you have become very acquainted with my brother Tony on facebook. He sure is a Davis as you can tell by his much talking. Also,
Terry Gaines (Aunt Mae’s son) is not far behind him. Uncle Wess’s grandson John comes in pretty good too. I think he writes a column for
the Berea paper in Berea< KY. I don’t know the name of the local paper.
I will stop as this is enough to keep you busy for now.

That’s what happens when you are older than everyone else, or at least some folks - I just happen to be around some of those older ones when they would come to visit Uncle Sam and Uncle John. I really became acquainted with Ernest Parsley when he would visit Daddy in the hospital in Cincinnati. I wrote him a thank you
note for visiting Daddy and from there we started corresponding over the years. He has been deceased since Aug. 2006. A really good man and loved the Davis family.
