Irene GraefTony, I read that Mary Royston was from Germany and that when she was a little girl, she and another girl were playing on an ocean liner, and that while they were down in it, the vessel set sail for America and that is how she came to be here. Do you know if that is correct?

Irene GraefI don't know where I read that--somewhere on the internet, but then I saw it again in a book that Ruth Combs had. Someone had written a kind of biography of the family, and it was in her writings. Wonder where that comes from?

Kim McQueen HenlineIrene, I had heard that same story from one of my relatives. Wonder if it's true. In this picture it looks like Martha is holding something in her hand. Do either one of you know what it might be?

My dad has a whole collection of Bond Foley pictures. He has collected them for years and has studied the whole operation of the Bond Foley lumber co. If you're ever down this way I'm sure he would be glad to show them to you. He has made one wall in his basement nothing but pictures of Bond Foley. So interesting. He also has lots of family pictures.
