Peggy Hacker RobertsWhen I was a child, some McFarlands lived just over the hill from where we live. I believe they had a son named Richard. They had a big family and were such nice people. If I walked to the top of my hill right now, I could see the land they once owned. My mom still refers to it as the McFarland Place.

Peggy Hacker RobertsI have heard of Levi Purkey all my life, but never saw him. He was married to my grandmother's sister, Emmie or Emma Steele Purkey. Ma Hacker named her son, Levi Hacker, after him. My dad, Bob Hacker, was named after Bob Davis. George Hacker was named after George McGee. She named several of her sons for her brother-in-laws.

Dorsey DavisNow these are a bunch of people I have no idea about. Just a note: The picture of Dad in uniform is in fact a picture of him. Oval Hillard was a good friend (I understand he was killed in the war). Dad borrowed Calvin's uniform for the picture. He remembers the picture being taken.
