It's not that long ago for an old guy like me. I was about to retire from the Army (after 20 years) about that time. So you should feel young. LOL

What are these ladies last names?
June 30, 2012 at 9:35 am
I believe Davis, because they all three had the D, behind their name. I think the middle one is Bessie (Steele) Davis.
June 30, 2012 at 10:12 am
Nannie would be Uncle Willie's wife amd Ethel would be Uncle Charlie's wife. Mamaw would be Bob's wife. I sure haven't seen this picture before.

July 2, 2012 at 7:00 pm
How old is Mamma in this pic? Do you knoe Uncle Fred.
July 3, 2012 at 12:56 pm
My guess would be about 20 - I don't know if it was their wedding day but it is possible - They were married in 1921 (Mom 19, dad 20) . It would be interesting if it was their wedding day - I brought my new bride Giovanna to their 50th Anniversary - with most of the family present !

Hi Tony, I am about 99% positive the picture is not of me but rather a picture of my brother Larry. BTY my first name is spelled CAREY. Thanks for all your effort and pictures. I always enjoy your work.
June 30, 2012 at 4:18 am
The car they are leaning on is a Volkswagen Karmann Ghia that Dad and I refurbished and painted Mustang poppy red. We had a great time in that car.
June 30, 2012 at 4:22 am
I'm sorry, I should have corrected that. I copied it directly from the back of the photo. When I put it out, I should have caught that. I have another photo of your dad with someone that looks almost exactly like the same person, and it had Larry. I did not put it up because I wasn't sure.
June 30, 2012 at 7:57 am
Hi Tony, that’s ok, I sure appreciate the photos you put on facebook many of which I have never seen before i.e. the picture of my Dad with the hat. I have never seen that pic before and wonder what info you have on it.

The original was only 1" x 2" inches and was a bit tattered. It had "Lester" on the back. That was all no date or anything. I have no idea where it was taken. It was in the group I copied from Terry Gaines I think.

Sure need some help on this picture I D. I recoginze what I think is Calvin Davis, Grandpa Bob and Grandma Bessie and perhaps Edith and maybe Helen. Could the small boy be Lester and the girls sisters Mae & Rebecca I don't know who the baby would be that Grandma Bessie is holding.

June 29, 2012 at 8:26 pm
I don't know, it is the names on the back. I wasn't sure if it was Uncle Lester Davis or another Uncle Lester.
