I know where this house is. It's on the right just before you get to Wesley and Della's house on the left going toward Greenhill Church.
August 5, 2012 at 3:03 pm
Yes, My sister Wilma Joyce was born in this house.

Oh, it's me and my little friends! Betty Sue and I were close all the way through school. She was even my college roommate, and now she lives up on the hill about a fourth of a mile past Greenhill Church. Sue Ward's family lived where we walked to get to the bus stop. We would always go inside in the winter to get warm by the big fireplace.

Roxie, I believe I met you and your sister at the visitation for Carolyn at Lakes' Funeral Home. One of you girls looked and acted just like Sue....all bubbly and lively. There was never a dull moment when Sue was around! She could think of more fun stuff to do than anyone I ever knew!
August 5, 2012 at 9:25 am
Ruth, I remember Herman and Fannie. Fannie is Mary Etta's sister.
August 5, 2012 at 9:26 am

Roxie, I could tell you hundreds of stories about her!!! LOL! She was a character! That's for sure!
August 5, 2012 at 11:58 am
Look at me wearing my big ski sweater! Bless my heart! I was always cold-natured and strong-willed about what I wanted to wear. I remember once when I got a new red raincoat and umbrella to match that I insisted on wearing it to school on a sunny day! LOL!

Louise's maiden name might have been Smith. Anyway, she is Roy, J. B., and Emily Whitehead's half sister. She is the mother of Sheila, Jeff. and Brian Browning. She was a special little friend of mine, too.

Nikki, was her last name Smith? I think she went by Whitehead at that time. I put her married name on the picture, because I wasn't sure which name to use.

I have to admit I was excited when i ran across this. I knew you would love to see it, because I think you and her look like you could be sisters in this photo. Your facial features are so simular. I am surprised you didn't mention how much you two look alike at simular ages. Oh Yeah, she was beautiful, and a very special person too.
August 5, 2012 at 12:39 am

My beautiful wife. This is when we were good friends. My best friend became my wife, how's that for lasting Love? I've made many mistakes in my life, but this was not one of them. Marring her was the smartest thing ever did.
